Terms & Conditions
These terms are the agreement between you and Matrix Minds IT for the use of Folier. Creating an account means you accept them. They are written plainly on purpose — if a clause here would surprise you later, it has failed.

Who these terms are with
Folier is operated by Matrix Minds IT, Cairo, Egypt. Reach us at matrixmindsit@gmail.com. These terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the courts of Egypt have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
Your account
- One account belongs to one person. You are responsible for everything done through it, so keep your password to yourself and tell us straight away if you think someone else has it.
- You must give a real email address and confirm it before the account can be used — it is how we reach you about payments, renewals and anything wrong with the service.
- You must be at least 16 years old. Accounts opened on behalf of a company must be opened by someone entitled to accept these terms for it.
- You can delete your account yourself at any time, from Account settings. Deletion is immediate and permanent; see “Deleting your account” below for exactly what goes.
What you may publish
Your portfolio is yours. You keep every right in the text, images and CV you upload, and you grant us only the permission we need to store that content, render it and serve it to visitors while it is published. In return you confirm that you are entitled to publish it:
- The work, images and words are yours, or you have permission to use them.
- Nothing you publish impersonates another person, infringes anyone's rights, or breaks Egyptian law.
- Nothing you publish is unlawful, hateful, deceptive, malicious, or designed to harvest other people's data.
- You do not use the service to send spam, to host files unrelated to a portfolio, or to attack, overload or probe our systems.
We do not review portfolios before they go online. If content breaks these rules we may take the published page offline and, for a serious or repeated breach, close the account — we will tell you why, by email, and no refund is due in that case.
The free tier and the monthly plan
Building, editing and previewing a portfolio is free, for 1 at a time. The monthly plan costs EGP 100.00 a month, raises that to 3, and is what publishes one of them to a public URL. Only one portfolio is live at a time on any plan; publishing another takes the current one offline, and the one that came down stays saved and editable.
Payment, renewal and expiry
The full lifecycle of a plan, start to finish, is this:
- Activation. You pay EGP 100.00 on our payment provider’s own secure page. The plan is activated when the provider confirms the payment to our server, normally within seconds, and publishing is available immediately.
- The paid period. One month from activation. Your plan and your published link stay live for the whole of it, whatever else happens to the account.
- Renewal. Card details are entered on the provider’s page and never reach us, and we do not charge a stored card on your behalf. At the end of each period we ask you to pay for the next one, through your billing page. Nothing is taken from you without you completing that payment yourself.
- Stopping. Nothing renews by itself and nothing is ever charged automatically, so there is nothing to cancel: pay again when you want another month, or do not, with no fee and no notice period.
- Expiry. When a period ends and has not been paid for again, the plan becomes inactive and the published link goes offline. Your portfolios, content and uploads are untouched and stay editable on the free tier.
- Coming back. Pay again whenever you like. The plan starts a fresh month and the same portfolio can be republished at the same URL, provided nobody else has taken that URL in the meantime.
Prices are in EGP and include any tax that applies. We may change the price of the plan, but never for a period you have already paid for: a change is announced by email at least 30 days before it can affect you, and cancelling before then costs nothing.
No refunds on cancellation
The plan is a digital service delivered the moment payment is confirmed, and your portfolio is served to visitors for the whole period. Subscription payments are not refunded when you cancel, in whole or in part. Cancelling part-way through a month does not produce a pro-rata refund; it stops the next payment, and your access continues to the end of the period you have already paid for.
This holds for every payment and for any reason: a month you did not use, a month you meant to cancel, a portfolio you never published, or an account you delete part-way through a period. Once a subscription has been activated, the payment for it is not returned. If you believe money reached us in error, write to matrixmindsit@gmail.com before opening a dispute with your bank and we will tell you what we received and what it was applied to. The full terms are in the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
What happens to a published portfolio
Publishing is the one thing the plan buys, so the public link follows the plan and nothing else:
- While the plan is active, the portfolio is served at its public URL and may be indexed by search engines.
- Cancelling changes nothing until the period ends — the link stays online for every day you have paid for.
- When the plan expires, the link is withdrawn and returns a not-found page to visitors. Search engines may keep showing a cached copy for a while; that cache is theirs, not ours.
- Nothing is deleted when a plan expires. Your portfolios and their content remain on your account, editable, for as long as the account exists.
- Unpublishing a portfolio yourself has the same effect on the link, at any time, and does not affect your plan.
Deleting your account
Account settings has a Delete account option. It asks you to type your email address, and your password if the account has one, because it cannot be undone. When you confirm:
- Your account, your portfolios and their sections, your sign-in identities and your notifications are deleted from our database.
- Any published portfolio goes offline immediately and its URL is released.
- Your subscription ends at once and can never be charged again. The remainder of a period you have already paid for is forfeited, not refunded.
- You are logged out, and the email address is free to open a new account with later.
- Images and CVs you uploaded are held by our image provider's CDN. Deleting the account removes every link to them from the service, but a file whose exact URL somebody already has may stay reachable there. Ask us at the address below if you need those files purged as well.
A small amount of data survives deletion because the law requires it — chiefly payment and invoice records, which tax and payment rules oblige us to keep. What we keep, and for how long, is set out in the Privacy Policy.
Availability and our liability
We work to keep Folier and every published portfolio available continuously, but no online service is perfect. The service is provided as it is: we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, that any particular search engine will index your portfolio, or that it will bring you work.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for fraud, death or personal injury. Subject to that, our total liability to you for any claim connected with the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before it arose, and we are not liable for lost profits, lost opportunities or lost data where the loss was not reasonably foreseeable. Keep your own copy of anything you would not want to retype.
Suspension and closure by us
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, is used unlawfully, or threatens the service or other users. Where it is safe and lawful to do so we tell you first and give you a chance to put it right. No refund is due for a period cut short by a breach on your side; where we close an account for our own convenience instead, we refund the unused part of the period.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service changes. The date at the top always shows the current version, and anything that materially affects your rights is emailed to account holders at least 30 days before it takes effect. Carrying on using Folier after that means you accept the new terms; if you would rather not, delete your account before they take effect. See also our Privacy Policy, Refund & Cancellation Policy and Delivery Policy, which form part of this agreement.
